Five things worth knowing.

1 / 5
Linen weave with beeswax coating

Two ingredients.
Both you can pronounce.

Pure flax linen, woven tight enough to breathe but block crumbs. Real food-grade beeswax brushed in, then heat-set so it stays put through 50+ wash cycles.

No plastic. No PFAS. No "natural blends" that turn out to be 30% polyester.

Sizing diagram — fits sourdough boule, baguette, pain de mie, focaccia

17 × 13 inches — for what you actually bake.

Most bread bags are sized for store-bought sliced loaves. Ours fits a real 900g sourdough boule with room to close the drawstring — plus baguettes, pain de mie, focaccia.

Care instructions — hand wash cool, no bleach, hang dry, no iron

Four steps. No fuss.

Hand wash in cool water with mild soap. No bleach, no hot water (it softens the beeswax). Hang dry, skip the iron and the dryer.

Looked after this way, the bag handles 50+ wash cycles.

Storage matrix — 3 days counter, 7 days fridge, 3 months freezer

Counter, fridge, freezer — the actual answer.

3 days on the counter. 7 days refrigerated. 3 months in the freezer, sliced.

Defrost at room temperature or warm in a low oven — the bag goes in the oven too.

Plastic bag vs Agni linen bag at day 5

Day five. Same loaf. Two stories.

Plastic traps moisture and steams the crust into a soggy shell. Linen lets bread breathe so the crust stays crisp and the crumb stays soft.

Why we don't use plastic →

Before you order.

How do I wash it?

Hand wash in cool water with a mild soap. No hot water (it softens the beeswax). Hang dry. Skip the iron, skip the dryer. The bag will last 50+ cycles when treated this way.

Can I put it in the freezer?

Yes. Linen + beeswax handles freezer temperatures fine. For longer storage, slice the loaf, wrap in the bag, freeze. Defrost at room temp or warm in a low oven still inside the bag.

How long will it last?

Designed for 2–3 years of weekly use. Tested through 50+ wash cycles. After many years the beeswax wears off naturally — at that point you can compost the linen.

Is the beeswax food-safe?

Yes. We use 100% pure food-grade beeswax (no paraffin, no additives). It meets Health Canada food-contact standards.

When will it ship?

Early access orders ship May 2026 from Toronto. Free shipping on orders over CA$50 within Canada. US shipping launches Q4 2026.
